Essay 1: HOPE by Joey Saint Wombat

I begin these essays with one word.

HOPE.

This seems to be all we have left in this world of poverty, war, and filth. We as humans can only HOPE.

We HOPE when things seem hopeless. We dream even when our nightmares seem real. We live in the unlivable. We believe in the unbelievable.

We HOPE.

When you take a good look around. You can only see negativity.
Believe me my friends, things are not as bad as they seem. When you think you have it bad, you should reflect upon those who are in an even worse situation and feel blessed.

Your life is only as bad as you make it.

If you look at the good in life, your life will be good. On the other hand, if you only look at the negative in life, you attitude will be negative.

We can overcome with HOPE!

Sometimes it's all we have. Sometimes it's all we need.

HOPE is only one ingredient.

Hoping does no good if you do nothing. If you hope you win the lottery and never buy a ticket, will you win the lottery. The answer is a resounding NO!

If you want change, you have to do something.

Einstein said it best.
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

HOPE is but a key ingredient.
If you have no faith in change, what good is your effort?

Faith, Hopes, Beliefs.

What you believe makes you an individual. No one can take away your beliefs. No one can take away your hope. No one can take away your faith.
These are the fundamentals of humanity.

If you have anything as powerful as your beliefs, you have a powerful weapon.
People die for beliefs and live for them. People today are yearning, they're HOPING for change. We have to speak! Staying silent and expecting change would be insane. Speak for what you believe in and hope it makes a positive change in the world.

Sean, This is a great essay on hope. We as Christians have wonderful reasons to hope. If we have accepted Jesus as our Savior, we have the greatest hope ever. I think even as Christians though, at times, we get bogged down with the things going on around us that we forget that we have a great hope. Have I told you lately how proud I am of you? Also how much I love and appreciate you & your enthusiasm for the Lord? If not I am telling you now. Love your "adopted" mom. BonnieC
