Things.

Our lives revolve around objects. It’s like everyone thinks—If I just get that one thing I’ll be happy. But the brilliance of capitalism has produced something called accessories. Then you aren’t happy with your beautiful new product until you buy all the best accessories. And when you’ve finally obtained all of your beautiful accessories, you’ve become bored with your new product and move on to something else. All the while, you’re wasting money you don’t have, on something you don’t need, earned from a job you don’t like.

In the end, you’ll never have everything you want. Even if you had everything, you’d still feel an emptyness.

Nothing on Earth lasts forever.

And while we’re trying to obtain all these things that make us happy, we’re trying to reach that next goal. We’re never satified with where we are. When you start school, you can’t wait to graduate. When you start college, you can’t wait to start your job. When you start your job, you can’t wait for that promotion. When you get that promotion, you can’t wait till the next one. When you find yourself as high as you can be, you can’t wait to retire.

When you finally retire, you wonder what happened to all that time you spent waiting.

Instead of existing, why don’t we start living.

Let’s experience life.
